1. First of all, a force point of view
From a force point of view, if the liquid viscosity is very low (such as cleaning a sander with solvent or water) and the material is not thrust enough, the beads are likely to contact the dispersion plate and break. This is an important reason why we recommend minimizing cleaning time.
If the machine is cleaned with a low viscosity liquid, the beads can wear off other beads or come into contact with sander parts. To maximize the service life of zirconia beads and scrubs, we recommend that you use resin cleaning during production and maintain adequate material viscosity.
2. The appearance of broken beads
First, identify what the "broken bead" looks like. If they are round and not sharp (like broken glass), they are naturally worn beads. Beads can be ground into a variety of shapes, such as disks, ellipses or smaller spheres. This condition is called wear and tear, and the only difference is the degree of wear.
3. Solutions for specific situations
Many people encounter the old beads into new beads, test beads broken, the following is to analyze this problem and explore solutions.
1)The contact part of the sanding machine is worn or incorrectly installed
Wear of dynamic separator or screen, broken or inverted screen will cause abrasive media to enter the feed pump through the separator, and after crushing beads, the pump will be blocked or shut down
2)Internal contacts of grinding machine are not installed correctly
Loose dispersion plate or the edge of the dispersion plate has a sharp Angle, there are foreign bodies in the grinding machine, the valve internal loosening, these circumstances may lead to the crushing of zirconia beads.
3)Zirconia beads accumulate
Zirconia beads are accumulated at the bottom of the sand mill, and the speed of the working pump is too fast, which will lead to the concentration of zirconia beads at the outlet of the horizontal sand mill, resulting in the crushing of zirconia beads. This does not happen, however, if the sander is turned on, off, on, off and the backlogged zirconia beads become loose.
4)Add used old beads to the grinder
Apparently, this also increases wear and tear between beads, which affects their service life
5)Dispersion plate wear
There are many reasons why this happens, so it's hard to pin down. The edge of the diffusion plate is the place where the linear velocity of the diffusion plate is maximum. If the edge of the diffuser is uneven, a strong eddy is likely to form. In addition, for vertical grinders, zirconia beads will be concentrated near the edge of the lower dispersion disc due to their weight.
Dispersion plate wear is too large, mainly caused by slow speed of the feed pump and high density of zirconia beads. Generally, we can solve this problem by replacing the badly worn parts and reloading the same batch of zirconia beads.
6)Blend zirconia beads from different manufacturers
Generally speaking, different manufacturers of product density is different, mixing different manufacturers of zirconia beads will increase the wear between beads.
