Wear-resistant material conveying pipelines are the blood of industrial production. Ensuring the service life of wear-resistant pipes is the premise of safe and efficient production. The wear of straight pipes is usually much smaller than that of elbows. Therefore, the wear of elbows is mainly considered in pneumatic conveying.
For example, if the conveyed material is abrasive material such as iron powder, if ordinary steel elbows are used for continuous conveying for 2 hours, the elbows will wear out; if the bending radius of the elbow is too small, the breakage rate will increase when transporting brittle materials.
If the bend radius is too large, stringing can occur when transporting synthetic materials.
According to long-term experience, the main factors causing wear due to material impact or friction on the inner wall of the wear-resistant pipes are as follows:
(1) Physical properties of the material to be transported. This includes particle size and shape, concentration, hardness, moisture content, crushing rate and adhesion.
(2) Condition of the conveying pipe. This includes the material and metal structure composition, hardness, surface treatment, inner diameter, layout and shape of the conveying pipe.
(3) Delivery conditions. This includes conveying wind speed, material-gas ratio, temperature and flow state, etc.
In actual transportation, the influence of the above factors on wear is not single, but combined. Therefore, even for the same material, there are different transportation conditions and different wear degrees.
