However, since some materials produce very large wear during crushing, the grinding body needs to be protected when using vertical agitator mills. Lined with wear-resistant ceramic sheets is a relatively common protection method.
The function of the wear-resistant ceramic sheet lining is to form a wear-resistant protective film on the inner wall of the vertical stirring mill, so that when the grinding body collides with the material, it will not be directly affected by the wear of the material. Compared with steel balls, ceramic sheets have higher hardness, slower wear rate and better wear resistance, so they can effectively extend the service life of vertical mixing mills and reduce equipment maintenance costs.
However, not all vertical agitator mills require an internal lining of wear-resistant ceramic sheets. Whether a wear-resistant ceramic sheet is required depends on the characteristics of the material. If the abrasion of the material is relatively large, then when using vertical mixing mill, it is necessary to lining wear-resistant ceramic sheets. If the material is less abrasive, then when using a vertical stirring mill, the lined wear-resistant ceramic sheet can be dispensed with.
