Description

Ball mills, vibration mills, and other pieces of machinery frequently employ 92–95 Al2O3 ultrafine grinding alumina ceramic balls as abrasives. The original high chromium steel ball is currently being gradually phased out of many cement facilities in favor of the more effective wear-resistant alumina ceramic ball as the grinding medium.


Alumina ceramic balls typically range in size from 0.5 to 90 mm. Alumina grinding balls with a diameter greater than or equal to 30 mm are formed by isostatic pressing, which causes the ball to be pressed and leave an obvious pressure line on the surface. As a result, the ball with a diameter greater than 30 mm can be easily identified by appearance.


Isostatic pressing technology is adopted to overcome the defects of other forming methods such as hollow, layered, low density and uneven density. The particle size, shape and additives of raw materials will affect isostatic pressing. The molding pressure and dwell time affect the density, sintering shrinkage, and sintering temperature of the green body. therefore. It is necessary to use suitable raw materials and scientific molding process to ensure that the green body has good sintering characteristics.

(4) The appearance is difficult to become out of round after use, and there is a low rate of broken balls.

(5) The density of high-aluminum balls is greater than 3.6g/cm3, which is half that of steel balls. Overgrinding and equipment wear are minimized under fine grinding conditions, as well as equipment noise and power consumption

Application

It is mostly used for grinding and wear resistance. It is extensively utilized in numerous ceramic, enamel, and glass products.
