Description

The grinding principle of Zirconia bead for battery material superfine grind is that the zirconium beads are driven by the sand mill to collide and shear the battery material particles, so as to achieve the effect of reducing the fineness of the particles. They have their own distinct characteristics in the grinding application of positive and negative materials.
Choice of particle size
The application of zirconia beads in the positive electrode material is mainly LFP material, and the negative electrode is mainly silicon carbon negative electrode. The target fineness of the two is very different: the former<350nm, the latter <100nm. Since the final fineness of the battery material directly affects the selection of the particle size of the zirconium beads, and there is a ratio of 1000 times, the particle size of the zirconium beads used for grinding the LFP material and the silicon carbon anode material should also reach 0.35mm and 0.1mm.
Choice of sand mill
Whether it is LFP or silicon carbon anode material, the common point is that they are ground with a pin-type sand mill.
The rod-pin type sand mill has high linear speed and large kinetic energy transmitted to grinding zirconia beads, so it is suitable for efficient grinding of battery materials; at the same time, it also puts forward higher requirements for the performance of zirconia beads used in it. Zirconium beads have good wear resistance and are not easy to break.

1.High grinding efficiency: The specific gravity of yttrium-stabilized TZP zirconia ceramic beads is 1.6 times that of ordinary zirconia beads, and it has higher grinding efficiency under the same conditions.
2.Good fluidity: the product has good roundness and smooth surface, and the wear on the equipment is lower than that of other grinding media.
3.Impact resistance and low wear: Zirconia ceramic beads have good toughness, no cracking or peeling in high-speed and high-concentration machines, and the wear is only 2/1 of that of zirconium silicate beads.
