Description
The Zirconium Oxide Ceramic Beads (hereinafter "TZP" zirconium beads) are made with micron and subnanometric raw materials with advanced technology. Mainly used for fine grinding and dispersing of high viscosity and hard materials that require "zero pollution" such as special chemical industry.
Feature
1 The Zirconium Oxide Ceramic Beads have a high specific gravity, and even a small volume ensures high grinding efficiency.
2 The Zirconium Oxide Ceramic Beads have higher specific gravity and smaller particle size, and will not contaminate the material to be ground, thereby meeting the ultrafine powder production needs. Therefore, zirconia ceramic balls have become the most commonly used grinding media in sand mills.
3 The state of zirconia beads is high strength, inert, hard, fine spherical particles. Compared with other irregular-shaped abrasives, zirconia abrasives roll like steel balls between bearings when grinding. Zirconia beads have the characteristics of large specific gravity, easy rolling and high kinetic energy, which can reduce formulation viscosity, increase fluidity and improve coating performance. In our production process, the use of zirconia abrasives can reduce the use of resin, increase the use of fillers, increase the fixed content, reduce VOC and reduce costs.

How to choose the particle size of grinding media?
The diameter of the grinding media depends on the grain size of the raw material and the desired grain size of the product. In order to improve the grinding efficiency, the particle size of the grinding medium should be larger than 10 times the particle size of the raw material and 200 times the particle size of the final product.
The Mohs hardness of the abrasive must be at least 3 times higher than that of the grist. In order to obtain ultra-fine particles in the micron/nano range, the grinding media must therefore be as small as possible.
