Wear-resistant ceramic pipes are mainly connected by flanges, so it is also necessary to choose appropriate flanges. Flanges are mainly divided into fixed flanges and movable flanges. The fixed flange is directly welded to both ends of the pipe and cannot move; while the movable flange is just inserted into the wear-resistant ceramic pipe, and the retaining ring is welded to the pipe port. The flange is movable, which facilitates on-site installation of the pipe.
Generally speaking, the choice of flange is determined based on the working conditions of the pipeline. Like elbows, the most commonly used ones are movable flanges, while straight pipes are usually fixed flanges. The function of the flange is to connect two pipes, and a flange gasket is added between the flanges of the two pipes for sealing.
There are many factors when selecting a pipe flange: flange fixation method, flange diameter, flange thickness, number of flange bolt holes, bolt hole center spacing, and bolt hole location. These are determined based on the usage conditions of the pipeline and customer requirements.
