How To Choose Wear-resistant Ceramic Pipes

How to choose wear-resistant ceramic pipes

The wear-resistant ceramic pipe is a firm combination of alumina corundum ceramics, transition layer and steel layer. It has good comprehensive properties such as good wear resistance, heat resistance, corrosion resistance, mechanical shock resistance and thermal shock resistance, and good weldability. It is an ideal wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant pipeline for conveying granular materials, grinding, corrosive media, etc.

When choosing a wear-resistant ceramic pipe, the aluminum content of the ceramic must first be determined. Fundamentally speaking, the alumina content of the ceramic directly determines the wear resistance of the entire pipe. Generally, wear-resistant ceramics with higher aluminum content will be more wear-resistant.

According to your own working conditions, determine how to bond ceramics and pipes. Under normal temperature conditions, the pipe diameter is required to be small, and ordinary wear-resistant ceramic glue can be selected to bond ceramics. Under high temperature conditions, ordinary ceramic glue is not suitable, and high temperature will easily cause the ceramic to fall off. At this time, the method of welding should be used to firmly weld the ceramic orifice plate to the inner wall of the pipe, so that it is not easy to fall off. This method is also suitable for large diameter pipes.
