Recently, one of our customers from Russia purchased 25 tons of 99% inert ceramic balls as catalyst support materials. They have been packaged and ready to be shipped to Shanghai Port. This alumina content requirement is a bit unusual as most of our customers from Russia typically choose inert ceramic balls with an aluminum content of 23%.

After further discussion with the customer, I understood why they wanted to use 99% Aluminum Oxide (Al2O3) inert ceramic balls instead. The reason behind this choice is due to the increasing demand for high-purity inert ceramic balls in various industries, including chemical and petrochemical plants, where contamination can have serious consequences.
99% inert ceramic balls are extremely durable and corrosion-resistant, making them ideal for use in demanding systems such as catalytic cracking or hydrogenation. Additionally, higher purity Al2O3 ceramic balls provide more consistent performance and longer service life than ceramic balls with lower aluminum content.
Another reason why Russian customers choose 99% inert ceramic balls is that the life of the catalyst used in the reaction process is significantly increased. Extended service life means reduced maintenance costs for customers, resulting in direct cost savings.

In summary, the Russian customer decided to choose 99% inert ceramic balls due to practical and cost-saving advantages. As global demand for higher purity inert ceramic balls continues to grow, companies must stay ahead of the curve and provide customers with the latest products and solutions to meet their needs.
