If you want to produce high quality wear resistant ceramic pipes, an important prerequisite is to prepare high-quality alumina powder.
In order to adapt to dry pressing or isostatic pressing in the ceramic production process, the ceramic slurry needs to be spray-dried to form a granular powder, which requires good fluidity and a certain strength of the particles. During the transportation and feeding process , it is not crushed, has a certain particle gradation, realizes close packing when feeding, has certain bonding and lubricating properties, and the particles should not stick to each other...etc.
At present, the spray granulation spray tower is mainly divided into two types: one is the centrifugal spray granulation tower, and the other is the pressure spray drying tower. These two granulation and drying methods can obtain powders that meet our daily production needs, but compared with the latter, the powder produced by the former is more uniform and finer, and the hollow rate of the powder particles is lower.
The water content of the granulated powder we produced is 0.5-0.8%; the granules are spherical, have good fluidity and strength, and the phenomenon of hollow balls is less than 30%. In order to ensure the consistency of the powder and ensure that the shrinkage of ceramic sintering does not fluctuate, the powder is also homogenized. In order to facilitate pressing, the granulated powder needs to be stale.
